As a result of the unstable situation, on 12 March 2025, the CGRS decided to temporarily suspend the processing of cases from applicants who are not registered with UNRWA and who come from the West Bank.
This suspension was necessary in order to gather sufficient up-to-date and objective information to enable a correct assessment of the need for international protection. The CGRS now has sufficient objective information at its disposal to accurately assess the need for protection. The CGRS will therefore resume processing these files.
If you have submitted an application for international protection and have not yet received a decision from the CGRS, you do not need to contact us. The CGRS assesses each case on an individual basis and you will be invited for a personal interview. You do not need to take any action yourself.
If you have any relevant documents to support your application that you have not yet submitted, please send them to the CGRS as soon as possible.
