The CGRS takes additional measures in order to prevent the coronavirus from spreading.

The personal interviews at the CGRS will not take place until further notice.

However, the personal interviews held through video conference with the applicants in closed centres will take place.

The mission of the CGRS, i.e. taking decisions regarding applications for international protection, is considered to be a necessary mission that must continue to be guaranteed.

Files that are being examined will be treated further. Questions to obtain certificates will also be dealt with.

Currently, the CGRS does not receive any visitors and works behind closed doors.

The well-being of the staff members, the applicants and the other visitors of the CGRS will be given priority.

Questions regarding the applications for international protection and the personal interviews can be addressed to the Helpdesk Asylum Procedure / Lawyers at cgra-cgvs.advocate@ibz.fgov.be. They can be reached by phone at 02/205 53 05.

Recognized refugees and stateless persons can address their questions and requests for documents directly to the Helpdesk Recognized Refugees and Stateless Persons. Please note: a copy of the identity card has to be sent with every request for a document delivered by the Helpdesk. The contact details of the Helpdesk can be found on www.cgrs.be/en/documents.
