The CGRS has published the asylum figures for October 2025.
Applications for international protection
- In October, the Immigration Office registered 2,958 applicants for international protection. Each person (including children) is counted separately.
- In October 2025 Afghanistan, Palestine and Turkey lead the top 10 countries of origin of applicants for international protection. Eritrea, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Cameroon, Burundi, Syria, Guinea and Russia complete the top 10.
Decisions
- In October 2025, the CGRS took 2,491 decisions, concerning a total of 3,082 persons.
- In October 2025, the protection rate amounted to 21,4%.
Workload
- The total workload of the CGRS corresponds to the number of cases in which the CGRS has not yet taken a decision. At the end of October 2025, the total workload amounted to 25,076 cases (31,811 persons). In view of the current inflow and the actual employee base 6,500 dossiers can be considered as a normal caseload. The actual backlog amounts to 18,576 cases.
