The CGRS has published the asylum figures for November 2025.
Applications for international protection
- In November, the Immigration Office registered 2,257 applicants for international protection. Each person (including children) is counted separately.
- In November 2025 Palestine, Afghanistan and Turkey lead the top 10 countries of origin of applicants for international protection. Eritrea, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Cameroon, Guinea, Burundi, Russia and Syria complete the top 10.
Decisions
- In November 2025, the CGRS took 2,239 decisions, concerning a total of 2,787 persons.
- In November 2025, the protection rate amounted to 25,2%.
Workload
- The total workload of the CGRS corresponds to the number of cases in which the CGRS has not yet taken a decision. At the end of November 2025, the total workload amounted to 24,728 cases (31,433 persons). In view of the current inflow and the actual employee base 6,500 dossiers can be considered as a normal caseload. The actual backlog amounts to 18,228 cases.
