The CGRS has published the asylum figures for June 2025.
Applications for international protection
- In June, the Immigration Office registered 3,004 applicants for international protection. Each person (including children) is counted separately.
- In June 2025 Eritrea, Afghanistan and Palestine lead the top 10 countries of origin of applicants for international protection. The Democratic Republic of the Congo, Turkey, Burundi, Guinea, Syria, Cameroon and Georgia complete the top 10.
Decisions
- In June 2025, the CGRS took 2,248 decisions, concerning a total of 2,694 persons.
- In June 2025, the protection rate amounted to 30,2%.
Workload
- The total workload of the CGRS corresponds to the number of cases in which the CGRS has not yet taken a decision. At the end of June 2025, the total workload amounted to 25,550 cases (31,891 persons). In view of the current inflow and the actual employee base 6,500 dossiers can be considered as a normal caseload. The actual backlog amounts to 19,050 cases.
