Deze COI Focus maakt een stand van zaken op over de veiligheidssituatie in de regionale staat Oromia in Ethiopië.

Dit rapport bouwt verder op de gelijknamige COI Focus van 15 februari 2022. Anders dan voorgaande COI Focus gaat dit rapport niet in op de demografische context van de regio, ook gaat het niet uitgebreid in op de politieke ontwikkelingen in de periode volgend op het aantreden van premier Abiy Ahmed. Dit rapport beperkt zich tot de gewapende opstand van het Oromo Liberation Army (OLA), en focust daarbij op de periode vanaf het Cessation of Hositilities Agreement (CoHA) dat begin november 2022 een einde maakt aan de oorlog in Tigray tot februari 2024.

Het onderzoek werd afgesloten op 11 maart 2024.

Deze COI Focus maakt een stand van zaken op over de veiligheidssituatie in de regionale staat Amhara in Ethiopië. Het onderzoek richt zich in het bijzonder op de periode van november 2022 tot februari 2024, en maakt gebruik van cijfergegevens over geweldincidenten voor de periode van 1 november 2022 tot 31 januari 2024. Het onderzoek werd afgesloten op 19 februari 2024. Gebeurtenissen die in zich in februari 2024 hebben voorgedaan, zijn in de mate van het mogelijke nog toegevoegd aan deze COI Focus.

Het doel van dit onderzoek is een stand van zaken op te maken over de veiligheidssituatie in Soedan na het uitbreken van de oorlog op 15 april 2023. Het onderzoek werd afgerond op 16 februari 2024.

The EASO COI report: Iraq – Key socio-economic indicators aims to provide information on key socio-economic indicators in Iraq focusing on Basrah, Erbil, and Baghdad, and highlighting aspects of the situation of IDPs in those areas, as well as women and children. Relevant indicators include the general economic situation, access to employment and livelihoods, poverty, food and water security, housing and living conditions, access to health care, access to education, access to support and assistance, and the role of support networks.

The primary focus of the report is on the state’s functioning in protecting and guaranteeing the protection of its citizens in the context of civilian security and justice.

Le présent COI Focus dresse un état des lieux de la situation sécuritaire à Bagdad. Les recherches concernent plus particulièrement la période allant d’avril à fin octobre 2018 et ont été effectuées du 5 au 12 novembre 2018. Ce document remplace la version précédente du 26 mars 2018, dont il ne constitue toutefois qu’une mise à jour limitée. La situation sécuritaire dans la capitale irakienne est restée généralement stable et n’a pas été marquée par des événements de grande ampleur (à l’exception des élections législatives de mai 2018). Cette mise à jour se concentre dès lors sur les changements observés dans les indicateurs d’insécurité et dans la typologie de la violence à Bagdad au cours de la période couverte par le présent rapport.

Après la période des années 2014 à 2016, où le niveau de la violence dans la ville et la province de Bagdad est resté stable, avec de nombreux attentats faisant chaque mois plusieurs centaines de morts et des blessés, on observe depuis fin 2016-début 2017 une nette tendance à la baisse du nombre des attentats et des victimes.

Le présent COI Focus a pour but de dresser un état des lieux des conditions de sécurité dans les provinces septentrionales administrées par le gouvernement régional kurde (Kurdish Regional Government / KRG), qui forment la Région autonome du Kurdistan. Les sources en langue anglaise la désignent souvent par le sigle KRI, pour Kurdish Region of Iraq. Cette région se compose de quatre provinces, à savoir Erbil, Suleymaniyah, Dohouk et Halabja.
