Niger: Behandeling van terugkeerders door de nationale autoriteiten

Dit rapport behandelt de houding van de Nigerese autoriteiten ten opzichte van hun onderdanen die terugkeren nadat ze het land illegaal hebben verlaten en/of in België een verzoek om internationale bescherming (VIB) hebben ingediend en/of daar hebben verbleven. Het bestrijkt de periode van januari 2016 tot eind mei 2022. Cedoca sloot het onderzoek op 17 juni 2022 af.

Terugkeer naar het land van herkomst moet worden overwogen wanneer de vreemdeling niet langer voldoet aan de voorwaarden voor verblijf in België. Deze terugkeer kan vrijwillig of gedwongen zijn.

Russian Federation: Tsjetsjenië. Veiligheidssituatie

Security situation

Dit document is een actualisering van de COI Focus Veiligheidssituatie in Tsjetsjenië van 25 juni 2021. Voor het huidige document werd onderzoek verricht naar nieuwe evoluties in de periode juni 2021 - mei 2022.

Cedoca belicht de algemene veiligheidssituatie in Tsjetsjenië, waarbij het vooral de gewelddadige incidenten bekijkt waarbij de overheid en/of de gewapende groepen betrokken zijn. Mensenrechtenschendingen begaan buiten het kader van aanslagen door gewapende groepen en de reactie daarop door de overheid, worden slechts kort (en niet noodzakelijk exhaustief) besproken. Het is niet steeds mogelijk om een strikt onderscheid te maken tussen deze twee vormen van geweld.

Het onderzoek voor dit rapport werd afgesloten op 20 mei 2022.

Venezuela: Situatieschets

General situation

Het doel van dit onderzoek is een stand van zaken op te maken over de algemene situatie in Venezuela. Het onderzoek richt zich hierbij op de politieke situatie, de veiligheidssituatie en de socio-economische situatie van het land om een zo breed mogelijke analyse te maken van de huidige stand van zaken. De situatie van specifieke profielen, zoals bijvoorbeeld journalisten of politieke activisten, vormen geen voorwerp van deze analyse. Deze COI Focus richt zich in het bijzonder op de periode van mei 2021 tot mei 2022 en is een update van het gelijknamige rapport van 28 april 2021. Het onderzoek werd afgesloten op 30 mei 2022.

Veiligheidssituatie in Jalalabad, Behsud en Surkhrod

In this COI Focus, Cedoca describes the security situation in the city of Jalalabad, the capital of Nangarhar province in Eastern Afghanistan. This report covers the period between 1 February 2018 and 31 January 2019. The research was completed on 25 February 2019. This COI Focus is an update of the COI Focus Veiligheidssituatie in Jalalabad of 20 February 2018.

This COI Focus does not describe the present situation of the conflict in the whole of Afghanistan, nor the situation in Nangarhar province. Its central emphasis is on the analysis of the security situation in the city of Jalalabad. However, in some sections (for example regarding the typology of the violence), the situation in the district of Jalalabad and the surrounding districts of Behsud and Surkh-Rōd - north and west of the city of Jalalabad respectively – is also examined.
