Dit onderzoek maakt een stand van zaken op over de veiligheidssituatie in het district Al-Amadiya van de provincie Duhok in de Koerdische Autonome Regio (KAR). Het onderzoek richt zich in het bijzonder op de periode van januari tot november 2025.

Dit is geen volledige analyse van de veiligheidssituatie maar een update van de informatie met betrekking op geweldsincidenten in dit district. Deze update komt er naar aanleiding van de ontwikkelingen in het conflict tussen Turkije en de Koerdische PKK op het Iraakse grondgebied. Voor een meer uitgebreide beschrijving van de veiligheidssituatie in Irak en meer bepaald in de KAR, zie de COI Focus Irak, Veiligheidssituatie van 29 augustus 2025 van Cedoca, en het EUAA COI Report – Iraq: Country Focus van 1 oktober 2025.

In deze COI Focus verzamelt Cedoca de informatie over vrouwelijke genitale verminking (VGV) in Niger, met bijzondere aandacht voor de praktijk onder de Zarma/Djerma bevolkingsgroep in het land.

Het onderzoek werd afgesloten op 2 december 2025.

Le présent rapport s’intéresse à l’attitude des autorités burundaises vis-à-vis de leurs ressortissants de retour ayant quitté illégalement le pays et/ou ayant séjourné en Belgique ou dans d’autres pays occidentaux et/ou y ayant introduit une demande de protection internationale (DPI). Ce document couvre la période allant de début 2024 jusqu’à la mi-décembre 2025. Il s’agit d’une mise à jour du COI Focus Burundi. Le traitement réservé par les autorités nationales à leurs ressortissants de retour dans le pays du 21 juin 2024.

The purpose of this report is to provide relevant information for the assessment of international protection status determination, including refugee status and subsidiary protection, and in particular for use in updating EUAA’s country guidance development on Syria.

The report covers the period of August 2022 – August 2023, and provides an update of the EUAA COI report: Syria - Security situation (September 2022). The report should be read in conjunction with the EUAA COI report: Syria - Country Focus (October 2023).

The security situation report examines the nature of armed conflicts taking place in the territory, the nature of the violence and presence of armed actors in different areas, and the impact on civilians, for example in terms of casualties/fatalities and conflict-linked displacement.

The drafting of this report was finalised on 31 August 2023. Any event taking place after this date is not included in this report.

The report covers the period of August 2022 – August 2023, and provides a limited update of selected sections previously addressed in the EUAA COI reports: Syria - Targeting of individuals (September 2022) and Syria - Targeting of individuals (March 2020) as well as an update of the EUAA COI report: Syria - Socio-economic situation in Damascus city (September 2022). This report should be read in conjunction with the EUAA COI report: Syria – Security situation (September 2023).

The drafting of this report was finalised on 31 August 2023. Any event taking place after this date is not included in this report.

The report covers the period of April 2021 – July 2022, and it is an update of the EUAA COI Report: Syria – Security situation (July 2021). A limited update of sections addressing the justice system in government-held areas and areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, previously covered in the EUAA COI Report: Syria –Actors (December 2019), is also included.

The purpose of this report is to provide relevant information regarding the targeting of individuals in Syria, for international protection status determination, including refugee status and subsidiary protection, and in particular for use in the update of EUAA’s Country Guidance on Syria.

This report addresses topics related to the targeting of individuals by different armed actors operating in Syria, including the Government of Syria, the Syrian Democratic Forces, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, the Syrian National Army, and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant among others. Targeting of individuals by sectors of society is also addressed where relevant.

This report is an update of the EUAA COI Report: Syria – Targeting of individuals (March 2020). It also provides updated information on profiles and topics covered previously in the following EUAA COI reports: EUAA COI Report – Situation of women (February 2020), EUAA COI Report – Military service (April 2021), and EUAA COI Report – Situation of returnees from abroad (June 2021).

The reference period for the events described in this report is from January 2020 until August 2022. The drafting of this report was finalised on 19 August 2022. Any event taking place after this date is not included in this report.

The report covers the period of April 2021 - July 2022, and it is an update of the EUAA COI Report: Syria - Socio-economic situation: Damascus City, published in April 2021. It provides relevant information regarding the socio-economic situation in the city of Damascus, including information about internal mobility and freedom of movement. This will inform the update of the chapter on Internal Protection Alternative within the EUAA Country Guidance on Syria 2022.
