The purpose of this report is to analyse the situation of women in Syria, focusing mainly on the general situation of women in the country while also paying special attention to area-specific features in those parts of Syria under the control of non-state armed groups, information relevant for international protection status determination, including refugee status and subsidiary protection, and in particular to inform the EASO country guidance development on Syria.

The first draft of this report was finalised on 18 November 2019. Some additional information was added during the finalisation of this report in response to feedback received during the quality control process, until 10 January 2020. Any event taking place after this date is not included in this report.

This report concerns the Syrian territories, which have been outside the control of the Government of Syria (GoS) and returned to GoS control through so-called reconciliation agreements. It explores how these agreements were reached, their consequences for the population of the respective areas, as well as how GoS exerts its control in the aftermath. Not all areas/cities are included, but rather a selection that serves to illustrate the different developments.

The report covers the period from 2014 until October 2019. The drafting of this report was finalised on 1 October 2019. Some additional information was added during the finalisation of this report in response to feedback received during the quality control process until 28 October 2019.

Le présent rapport est une mise à jour du COI Focus daté du 14 juin 2019. Il s’intéresse à l’attitude des autorités congolaises vis-à-vis de leurs ressortissants de retour après avoir quitté illégalement la République démocratique du Congo (RDC) et/ou avoir introduit une demande de protection internationale en Belgique et/ou y avoir séjourné. Le traitement que réservent les autorités aux ressortissants de retour en raison de leur profil politique, ethnique, religieux ou terroriste ne fait pas l’objet de cette recherche.

Le retour dans le pays d’origine doit être envisagé lorsque l’étranger ne réunit plus les conditions requises pour son séjour en Belgique. Ce retour peut être volontaire ou forcé.

Ce rapport couvre la période allant de mai à décembre 2019. La recherche documentaire pour cette mise à jour s’est clôturée le 17 décembre 2019.

This report is an update of the EASO COI report on Pakistan, Security Situation (last update: October 2018).The reference period for describing events was from 15 August 2018 until 31 July 2019.

The drafting of this report was finalised on 9 August 2019. Any event taking place after this date is not included in this report.

This report provides information on elements and indicators that may help in assessing the need for international protection.

This report updates the COI Focus of 10 October 2016 entitled Het risico bij terugkeer in geval van gedwongen verwijdering [Risks upon return in case of forced removal]. The report describes the position of the Pakistani authorities regarding their nationals who return to Pakistan after they left illegally and/or filed an application for international protection in Belgium and/or resided in Belgium. Treatment by the Pakistani authorities of returnees with a political, ethnic, religious or terrorist profile will not be examined.

This report covers the period from 1 January 2018 to 31 March 2019.

The report aims to provide an update on the security situation in Pakistan, which is relevant for international protection status determination (refugee status and subsidiary protection).

This report was drafted by a Country of Origin Information (COI) specialist from the Belgian Center for Documentation and Research (Cedoca) in the Office of the Commissioner General for Refugees and Stateless Persons (CGRS).

This report is an update of the EASO COI report Pakistan Security Situation first published in August 2015, updated in July 2016, and in August 2017. This report presents general information available from 1 June 2017 to 15 August 2018

On 16 and 17 October 2017, EASO organised a Practical Cooperation Conference on Pakistan in Rome, in the framework of EASO’s Operating Plan in Italy.

This report is an update of the July 2016 EASO COI Report Pakistan Security Situation and is based on information available from 1 April 2016 to 31 May 2017. The information in this report results from desk research of public specialised paper-based and electronic sources, which were consulted within the timeframe and the scope of the research.

Le présent rapport fournit un bref aperçu de la situation sécuritaire dans la bande de Gaza du 1er juin au 9 septembre 2019. Il complète le COI Focus sur la situation sécuritaire dans la bande de Gaza publié le 7 juin 2019. La situation humanitaire ne fait pas partie des sujets traités.

Le Cedoca est confronté à une surabondance des informations disponibles portant sur la situation sécuritaire et humanitaire dans les Territoires palestiniens. Il propose ici une synthèse chronologique des principaux évènements sécuritaires ainsi que quelques statistiques relatives aux victimes et aux blessés palestiniens durant la période étudiée.

La recherche a été clôturée le 10 septembre 2019.
